Joining the BBG
The British Business Group - Abu Dhabi invites applications to join the BBG as either corporate representative or individual members.
Corporate Representative Membership :
A British Company's most senior staff member living and working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi who is a British Citizen or such other senior resident employee whom that Company nominates in his place and the Committee approves.
For these purposes a "British Company" means a company incorporated in the United Kingdom, or a British business or firm resident in the United Kingdom having directly or indirectly a legally constituted business presence in Abu Dhabi.
Individual Membership :
- Any British Citizen holding a professional or managerial appointment living and working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi; or
- Any National of the United Arab Emirates representing British goods or services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (whether in his own name or as a sole owner or partner in an Abu Dhabi registered company; or
- Any person holding a senior professional or managerial appointment not otherwise eligible for membership who lives in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and works for either a British Company or an Abu Dhabi registered agency representing British goods or services.
Associate Status:
Associate status of the Abu Dhabi British Business Group is open to any individual who is not eligible for membership according to the Constitution, but who is interested in the promotion and development of business relations between the United Kingdom and Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates.
There is no restriction on where an Associate is resident or domiciled nor on his/her nationality.
The fee for registration as an Associate is Dhs.300 per annum and he/she will receive copies of the Group's publications and notices of its business, social and networking events. An Associate may attend any of these events on payment of the applicable guest fee.
Associate status is subject to the approval of the Committee of the Abu Dhabi British Business Group.

Applications for membership of the Group should be made on the attached form either in writing or by e-mail. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Committee that they meet the criteria applicable. In all cases, membership is subject to final approval of the Committee and is effective on payment of the relevant subscription for the current membership year. |
